Frequently Asked Questions About R-WEAVE™

A retractable fabric pergola is an outdoor shade structure with a motorized fabric canopy that opens and closes based on weather conditions and your desired level of comfort. Unlike a fixed patio cover, it gives you the flexibility to enjoy full sun, filtered shade, or overhead protection with the touch of a button. R-WEAVE™ combines clean architectural design with versatile functionality to create a comfortable outdoor living space throughout the year.

While retractable awnings are typically mounted to a wall and extend outward, R-WEAVE™ is a complete pergola system with its own structural framework. It provides greater stability, larger coverage areas, improved wind resistance, integrated drainage, and a more refined architectural appearance. R-WEAVE™ also helps create the feeling of a true outdoor room while delivering exceptional comfort and style.

Yes. The R-WEAVE™ canopy is fully retractable, allowing you to open or close the fabric roof based on sun exposure, weather conditions, or personal preference. When fully retracted, the roof opens to the sky for a more open-air outdoor experience.

Yes. When the canopy is fully extended, R-WEAVE™ is designed to provide protection from light rain. Its tensioned fabric roof and integrated drainage system help direct water away from the covered area, allowing you to enjoy your outdoor space more comfortably when weather conditions change.

Rainwater is guided through the engineered fabric profile and into the integrated gutter system built directly into the pergola structure. From there, water is routed through the internal posts and away from the outdoor living area for efficient drainage and a clean, uncluttered appearance.

Absolutely. R-WEAVE™ utilizes high-performance outdoor fabric engineered for long-term outdoor use. The material is designed to resist UV exposure, fading, mildew, and everyday weather conditions while maintaining its appearance and performance over time. The fabric is backed by a 10-year warranty from Azenco.

Yes. R-WEAVE™ is available in a carefully selected range of premium fabric colors designed to complement a variety of architectural styles and outdoor environments. This allows homeowners, designers, and architects to tailor the pergola to their desired aesthetic.

Yes. Every R-WEAVE™ pergola is custom manufactured to fit the dimensions and layout of your outdoor space. Multiple configuration options are available, including freestanding and attached installations, making it suitable for both residential and commercial applications.

Yes. R-WEAVE™ can be enhanced with a variety of integrated comfort features, including LED lighting, motorized screens, infrared heaters, and ceiling fans. These additions help create a more functional and enjoyable outdoor environment that can be used day or night throughout the year.

R-WEAVE™ features a fully retractable fabric canopy that creates a light, elegant, open-air feel while providing flexible shade and weather protection at the touch of a button. Its soft architectural aesthetic brings warmth and contemporary style to outdoor spaces.

For homeowners seeking retractability, design flexibility, and a refined appearance, R-WEAVE™ can also be a more cost-effective option than a louvered pergola.

For projects that require maximum durability, exceptional environmental resistance, or year-round performance in areas with high winds or significant snow loads, a louvered system such as the R-BLADE™ remains the most robust solution.
